Very Nice Machine, Except...

I bought this model to replace an old Reebok rear flywheel elliptical that I had used for years. I am very pleased with the comfortable stride and quality of the machine. I have found 2 problems with it: first and most bothersome is the tension level is hard, even on level 1. As I said, I have been using an elliptical at home and at the gym for years, and the tension on this machine makes it hard for me to do more than 30 minutes at a time; second, the pedal legs move and click where they are detachable from the flywheel (so that the machine can fold). It's an annoying clicking that can be heard and be felt through the pedals, interfering with the otherwise smooth operation. On the service end -- I had a problem with the console fan not working right when it came. Although the part was backordered and took weeks to come in, the service provider called right away and came out as soon as the part was delivered.
Can you convert revolutions to miles?

The display doesn't indicate miles, only RPM and # revolutions. Is there a conversion factor to miles? Please post. Still a beginner with it, can post additional satisfaction with more experience.

The machine is quiet, stable, and provides an excellent workout! Gets my heart rate in the zone and keeps it there. I use this H90e for 1 hour everyday, and it has performed very, very well.
The Beast

The version we purchased was H95e. We purchased an extended warranty just in case. It was quite easy to assemble the elliptical. It moves very smoothly and seems so much better then the ellipticals we have been using at the gym. It was larger then expected either unfolded or not but it is a solid.
pros: plugs into my mp3 player/ipod, smooth solid machine, large foot pads for any size feet, auto adjustable incline, the included programs are more then sufficient for us.
cons: Screen is really low graphic quality. On assembling we discovered badly machined left upper arm (not drilled/welded correct to fit) and the console had black lines running down the middle of its' screen.
We called the service number and reached a representative instantly whom ordered both replacement pieces to send to us. Though the parts are backordered, reaching customer service over the phone was no issue at all (compared to other reviewer's experiences).
We hope to melt off the pounds and shape up those legs with this beast.
Very Disappointed!!!- Problem with Rollers Rubbing

So far I have been very disappointed with this product and the horrible, unresponsive Customer Service! After assembling I discovered that the rollers were rubbing against the tracks on one side. I tried dissassembling completely and still have the problem. I have tried calling both the Iconfitness Customer service and the extended warranty company and have been put on hold for over 20 minutes and then eventually went into voice mail and was asked to leave my name and number and I would be called back. This was over a week ago and I still have not received a call. I also sent an email and only received an automated response saying someone would get back to me. This was a week ago as well and still no response.

-Pulse monitor is grossly inacurrate-Arm hold plates and bolts are not well mechined and squared-Plastic cover cuff for arm hold, scuff each other creating dust and noice-wheel mechanism not well aligned and therefore you cannot adjust the wheel to deliver noise and scuff free operation-product support number 888-922-4222 is a non-working phone number

This is the first elliptical I have tried with a ramp and it changes my stride a lot. I hurt my knee playing football about 12 years ago and this is much easier on my joints than running. This big pedals fit my size 15 shoes as well. It's a nice machine for the money
I'm losing weight

I've had this for about 2 months and I've already lost 15 lbs. It's quiet enough for me to use while I watch my favorite shows. I purchased the Jillian Michael's weight loss level 2 ifit card and I'm getting a great workout every day. It's a big machine but I can still move it if I have to. It took me about 45 minutes to put together which wasn't very fun but the instructions were easy to follow. I'm still giving it five stars because it's so nice to use.
