Good Eliptical

We have had our unit since early January. By late February it developed a consistent knocking sound. We just received a replacement unit and I hope that fixes the problem. Other than that, I really like this machine. Its a very smooth action and very thankful for the fan. Provides a good workout and the mechanics in the front of the unit saves a lot of space. Have not tried the i fit yet. The only other issue I have is how hard it is to get help from Healthrider when you have a problem. Sat on hold for two 30 minute sessions and still did not get through.

Pretty cheap and plastic-like. The digital display was screwy and difficult to read, the ipod speakers are junk and the up incline arrow button tilts the machine downward while the down arrow sends the machine upward. I am also am having difficulty getting Healthrider to respond to my requests to repair the product. Evidently their 'server is down' as well as their quality.

I've had the machine for about a solid week of testing. I will update this
review after a few months. I tested out various machines and did research before
purchasing this particular model. This one was within my budget and was actually
on sale when i got it so it was a no brainer.
Putting the machine together was a time consuming task. You need a second person
if you want to get the arm and leg pieces installed smoothly and easily,
otherwise prepare for a wreslting match. Everything else can be assembled with a
single person. Also feeding the wires through the required holes took tome
Tetris - like aligning. Make sure you grease anything that says it needs grease
completely. And my final building advice is to not put the plastic cover on
ANYTHING until the end. THe manual tells you to do it as you finish each
component. Well you'll probably realize you used the wrong washer or aligned
something wrong and have to unscrew every cap just to find that washer or make
that readjustment. Save the trouble and don't make any cosmetic finishes until
the end.
Now the actual Machine.
The Good
It is an EXCELLENT piece of equipment that works just as it is intended to.
Operation is smooth and quiet, you hear a low glide if you are in a dead silent
room, but the minute you listen to any music or watch tv you can not hear the
low gliding. The Power Ramp however is loud. As it is changing elevation it
makes a whirring noise that is a bit annoying. Especially if you make a drastic
change in angle. It moves in 0.5 increments, but you can jump from 10 degrees to
30 in one touch, prepare for a long whirrrrrrrr" noise.

I have been out of the fitness seen for serveral years. I Baught this machine and have been happy with it. The Machine is a little noisy, but it does the job. The ifit feature is great but the software has problems. The trainer fiture is speaking a differnert language at the moment, so we have the volumn down and are waiting on customer servise to respond. We have had some issues with profiles information crossing of to anothers and changing some of the details. This is an intermitant problem and if you log off and go back later everything seems to be fine.. But again it gets the job done.
